Light Cycles is a nighttime adventure which takes place within the Wellington Botanic Garden ki Paekākā. It uses light installations, soundscapes, and digital art to create an immersive experience which aims to bring nature's secret rhythms to life.
Audiences are invited to move through the experience at their own pace. The route is approximately 750m long and the whole experience should take 30-45 minutes. A couple of key things to note:
- The experience is not a looped journey. You will exit the experience in a different place from where you start it. Please consider your transport options carefully. Full travel info is available here.
- Due to the location of the experience the route will include darker pathways and uneven terrain and gravel in places. We encourage you to wrap up warm and wear comfortable, sturdy shoes as there are some steep sections on the route.
